Important results from the project

The program´s objective is to increase the competitiveness of Swedish process industry and its technology suppliers by driving digitalisation and creating the best possible conditions for the development of (Swedish) IndTech. PiiA stage 3 has brought together additional stakeholders for collaboration with a focus on advanced data analysis of structured industrial data, the project´s results have been shared and laid the foundation for further work.The Program Office has increased efforts around collaboration, with an increasing focus on traceability and circular industry.

Expected long term effects

Projects have been established both through open calls for proposals and through strategic project. 2 calls for proposals per year during the period, except in 2023 when we only had one open call. The calls have had a focus on data analysis in process industrial value chains, but during the last year complemented with an increased focus on sustainability. Call 19 focuses on adding more projects that connect to the strategic initiatives Digitala Stambanan and Trace4Value. The program has expanded follow-up of project results. The program office has increased its international efforts.

Approach and implementation

During the period, the program has been organized in program office and four intervention areas, supplemented by special efforts for communication and internationalisation. The areas of focus are: PiiA Insight: reports and analyzes of digitalisation in the process industry industries. PiiA Network: networking with a focus on creating new collaborations and project. Piia Projects: calls for proposals, consortium building and follow-up of projects. Piia Research: network with academia with aim of increasing research in PiiA´s areas of interest.
