SIO Grafen Roadmap Manufacturing

Reference number
Coordinator Stiftelsen Chalmers Industriteknik
Funding from Vinnova SEK 300 000
Project duration November 2019 - June 2020
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to develop a roadmap for SIO Grafens´ area of strength Manufacturing for the period 2020-2030. This includes material production, characterization, process development, testbeds and production development of graphene. The purpose of the roadmap has been to describe and make visible the status of the area today, but above all to identify the way forward with goals and activities.

Expected long term effects

The result of the project is a roadmap for the area of strength Manufacturing that can be used in several ways. It sets up concrete goals and activities to achieve these goals that the Swedish graphene network can gather around. The roadmap also describes what the graphene area looks like today with a focus on the situation in Sweden. This description can be used to easily get an overview of the status today. The roadmap (together with previous roadmaps within SIO Grafen) can also be used as a basis for the coming agenda for graphene in Sweden.

Approach and implementation

The project has been carried out through literature studies and discussions with representatives from relevant organisations. A reference group of important persons contributed throughout the project. The group consisted of both suppliers and users of graphene. Swedish stakeholders were invited to a webinar describing the roadmap with opportunities to influence the content. An almost completed version was also sent out in SIO Grafens´ newsletter for feedback from the graphene network.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
