Important results from the project

SIMS-ECO contributes to increased access to primary and secondary raw materials, in particular critical raw materials, by developing and demonstrating break-through concepts of autonomous extraction that is digitally integrated with downstream mineral processing. SIMS-ECO will allow operations at greater depths, verify the industrial viability of the technologies in pilot demonstrations, improve safety, and minimize the environmental footprint of the mining industry to strengthening diversification of EU sourcing.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The result was that proposal was submitted. The effect from the work obviously depends on evaluation of the proposal. The evaluation is ongoing and if it is approved, a Swedish coordinator will lead an Horizon Europe project for the raw materials sector.
