Purpose and goal
The aim is to support digital ecosystems of connected things by supporting trusted and frequent transfers between validated parties. The goal is to offer resource-efficient and secure microtransactions at scale between people, organizations, machines, and virtual entities. Challenges include business scalability, governance of rights/responsibilities, legal needs for authentication and traceability, technical performance, scalability and robustness against cyberattacks.
Expected effects and result
Results - A cyber-secure distributed solution where accounts, addresses and logical positions in the network are authenticated and validable. - Executing code, possibly open-source. - Tested performance, scalability and security. - Partners using the system in activities. - Publications in journals and conferences. Effects are green transition and interconnection of industry, finance and insurance in ecosystems that offer equipment as a sustainable service with efficient resource utilization.
Planned approach and implementation
Work packages - Use cases and roles. - Requirements: regulatory, market, technical. - System Architecture: including motivations. - Implementation: coding, deployment. - Verification and validation: security, performance, scalability. - Dissemination: Marketing, make source code available, publications, academic degrees. Agile work with online meetings every two weeks: what has been achieved, challenges, next objective. Result dissemination including demonstrator, presentations and articles.
