Purpose and goal
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose was to increase the understanding of how Stanford works with internationalization and the construction of interdisciplinary environments, and to contribute to the international academic collaboration of the automotive industry. Two reports have documented how Stanford works and the automotive industry´s international academic collaborations have been developed, and also, based on data from the evaluation of FFI, documented in a report.
Expected results and effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project resulted in increased knowledge of Stanford, which is relevant and useful for both Swedish universities and for financiers such as Vinnova and Stint. This is not least because Stanford is a world-leading university. The automotive industry´s international academic cooperation is continued, not least by Vinnova´s representative in Silicon Valley, and the report on this demonstrates the importance of such collaborations.
Planned approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project was carried out in conjunction with other commitments which meant that the performer was still in place in Silicon Valley during the summer of 2019. This led to low costs. The continued work, and not least the extension that included organizing a seminar at Stanford in January 2020, represented a perfect follow-up on the work that began this summer. Stanford contributed generously to the implementation of the project with knowledge and other support.
