Sharing experience of Stockholm University Incubator

Reference number
Coordinator STOCKHOLMS UNIVERSITET INKUBATOR AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 100 000
Project duration January 2016 - December 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The main purpose has been to jointly exchange experiences with other incubators in Sweden, to generate new approaches, ideas and tools to optimize the business offer in the incubator. During these two years, the incubator has hosted over 40 different seminars, inspirational events, VCF and presentations investing in incubator companies.

Expected results and effects

The result has been an updated and well-worn offer in SU Incubator with funding solutions from the mother company SU Holding. The result was also that SU Holding has entered and invested or become a partner in six new companies that have undergone SU Inkubator.

Planned approach and implementation

The plan has been fully in line with the mission to offer incubator support for innovations and early ideas, ranging from pure business development to help seek out capital. SU Incubator has been project manager for a research project that has been granted funding from VINNOVA and SweLife in 2016 for the development of anti-inflammatory diseases. Two incubator companies, Returnado AB, have been able to apply directly to SU Inkubator, supported by VINNOVA´s Incubation Support Program - "Inkubationsstöd - Verifiering Erfarenhetsutbyte" Autumn 2016, and received SEK 600,000.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
