Important results from the project
In Sharing Communities/ Gröna Solberga delar we wanted a deeper understanding of the social communities around sharing and to develop a model for how housing companies can use the potential for sharing in existing communities to strengthen the connection between existing and new areas.. We focused on sharing: workshop, urban farming, stuff at home and spaces. Sharing has the potential to strengthen social cohesion in a district. The findings on how sharing can be facilitated via existing groups and channels.are useful for housing companies in existing areas and new construction,
Expected long term effects
In dialogue with residents and actors, four forms of sharing have been explored: things you have at home, a workshop facility, cultivation, and spaces. Internal upscaling and insights at the housing company resulted in a guide, open to all housing companies on how to facilitate the sharing of things, mobility, space, knowledge and time among tenants, communities, actors and the city to enhance sustainable lifestyles. It is an ongoing implementation process with key functions: area managers, local department, communications, management on how sharing can develop in more areas.
