Important results from the project

The project´s expected results included a concept demonstrator for a support tool for the UDI Act and a report with insights on key technologies required and technology risks. It required identification of the necessary infrastructure and work effort to go from concept to prototype and on to product, as well as thoughts about making the concept future-proof, maintainable and upgradeable.

Expected long term effects

The pilot project has shown a crucial need: Sweden lacks a common ready-made process for defense innovation. This insight, together with the lessons learned during the course of the project, highlights the need for more comprehensive joint efforts to generate enhanced capabilities. Sweden now faces a strategic opportunity to initiate the development of a platform for joint work between authorities, business and academia.

Approach and implementation

Projektet möjliggör för statliga myndigheter, försvarssektorn, juristbyråer och privata företag att etablera och utveckla nya samarbetsmöjligheter. Genom dessa samarbeten eller partnerskap förstärks förmågan att analysera en bred variation av information med målet att skydda nationella säkerhetsintressen. Projektet underlättar värdefulla utbyten mellan den offentliga och privata sektorn, där myndigheterna kan dra nytta av expertis och resurser som finns tillgängliga i den privata sektorn.
