Purpose and goal

The startup-programme aims to develop scalable, sustainable and innovative startup companies that can operate on global market and create qualified jobs locally. Strenghtens Skövde and Västra Götalands competitiveness through a developed and renewed business sector and create attraction through successful startups, processes and methods. Target group has sustainable business ideas within digitalisation such as students, researchers, company spin-offs and startup establishments.

Expected effects and result

The project will develop scalable, sustainable and innovative startups that can operate in a global market and create qualified jobs locally. Success will be measured by e.g the number of screened ideas (m,f,x), the number of accepted cases that meet target group criterias, the number of marketing and internationalization activities, the number of individuals whose skills are developed, the number of new companies, the number of employed (m,f,x), positive exits, turnover and investments.

Planned approach and implementation

Structured programme and process for taking ideas to market entry through; business development and expert competence in, among others, funding, market, finance, sustainability, IP and company development, competence-enhancing activities in, among others, sales, marketing, sustainability, team development, leadership, law and IP, board work and finance. Network to customers, suppliers, investors and partners nationally/internationally. Established and active community and innovation arenas.
