Purpose and goal
The planning project aims to build a strong European consortium, refine the main project concept, and prepare a competitive Horizon Europe proposal. It will support expert consultations, partner alignment, and concept development to define a Strategic and Capacity Agenda for scaling digital, personalised, and equitable cardiovascular innovation, culminating in a high-quality proposal ready for submission under the targeted Horizon Europe call.
Expected effects and result
The planning grant is expected to result in a well-aligned, multidisciplinary consortium; a clearly defined and validated SCALE-CVD concept; and a robust implementation framework. It will deliver a refined work plan, clarified partner roles, and a strong Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda outline, leading to a high-quality, competitive Horizon Europe proposal with clear pathways for policy impact and long-term sustainability.
Planned approach and implementation
The planning project will be implemented through three coordinated work packages covering management, concept development, and proposal preparation. Activities include consortium building, partner capability and gap analysis, expert consultations, and iterative refinement of the SCALE-CVD concept. Structured coordination, targeted research, and internal reviews will ensure alignment with the Horizon Europe call and result in a high-quality, submission-ready proposal.
