Important results from the project

The project met its core goals by validating Hydroyal’s PGM-free CCM technology at an industrially relevant level and by confirming its applicability across multiple Power-to-X use cases. In parallel, the project provided critical business validation by clarifying scalable commercial models, partner requirements, and bankability constraints. These results de-risked both the technology and the business case and established a clear foundation for further industrial scale-up and commercialization.

Expected long term effects

The project contributed to advancing the long-term industrial deployment of our technology by reducing technical, commercial, and supply-chain risks. By validating industrial performance and clarifying durability pathways and scalable business models, the project supports the development of lower-cost and sustainable Power-to-X solutions. These results help clarify bankability conditions for hydrogen and CO₂-based systems and support Europe’s competitiveness in clean energy technologies.

Approach and implementation

The project was carried out through a structured combination of technical validation, industrial collaboration, and strategic market analysis. The plan focused on validating Hydroyal’s CCM technology under relevant operating conditions while engaging industrial partners to test performance, durability, and integration potential. In parallel, business models and partner requirements were analysed to align technical development with commercial and bankability needs.
