Status Ongoing
Venture Civil-military synergies
Call Collaborative project for civil-military synergies

Purpose and goal

The aim of this project is to verify and optimise the process developed by Grafren AB for manufacturing graphene functionalized composites for defence aerospace application, by i) verification and adaptation of process for graphene treatment of reinforced fiber ii) adaptation of the composite manufacturing iii) for components suitable for the application, optimisation the robustness on both graphene application side and composite production.

Expected effects and result

- Robust process for graphene treatment of reinforced fiber. - Robust process for manufacturing of composite laminate with graphene treated fiber. - Verification results of functionality of graphene intergraded composites. - Robust manufacturing process for composite components with graphene integrated functionality. The results from project will enable new material for light weight composite structure with integrated functionality with high potential for aerospace defense applications.
