Roadmap:Sweden, phase II

Reference number
Coordinator Volvo Personvagnar Aktiebolag - PVH50
Funding from Vinnova SEK 400 000
Project duration December 2013 - April 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim has been to create prerequisites for cross-border cooperation in investment in electric vehicles, infra structure and surrounding systems and services. A large part of the work has been making a survey on all the activities taking place in the area in Sweden. We have divided it into three parts; 1/ Public investments through the Swedish Energy Agency, Vinnova and Trafikverket 2/ Investments in local authorities and regions 3/ User initiative The results of the survey can be summarized by, considerable investments (400 MSEK annually), many small projects but not coordinated.

Results and expected effects

The result was expected, as we´ve seen many parallel activities occur on many places in the country, but unfortunately too few large projects. The outcome will be that Roadmap:Sweden more clearly see the need for coordination at a national level, in order to use the investments even more effectient. The reactions has been very positive and the short term results will be to lead to three specific measures. -establish a national forum at highest level -define electrification hubs, show cases -constructing a central portal for knowledge and information distribution

Approach and implementation

The work was carried out with the help of existing information in public databases and also through a web-based questionnare for municipalities and county councils. RMS Steering Group and other channels has continuously been involved in workshops and discussions. The result has been confirmed and decided by the Steering Group in a meeting May 5, 2014.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
