Purpose and goal

Underreporting of incidents and deviations is a major problem for the bus industry and commercial traffic. By simplifying the reporting process for drivers and management, Road Hero contributes to more comprehensive and high-quality data. Data that can be used to analyze risks, identify patterns and develop preventive measures. The project goal is to develop an AI-solution for verbal incident and deviation reporting for the bus industry in multiple languages, adapted to the driver´s work environment and professional role.

Expected effects and result

New insights into the integration between people, street space, digital and physical infrastructure and vehicles. The driver´s voice is an important piece of the puzzle. Better understanding of incidents and deviations and the driver´s experiences of them and the reporting process. Through support in multiple languages ​​and reduced requirements for written language in a practical profession, drivers with different backgrounds are enabled to participate equally in the reporting process.

Planned approach and implementation

Needs analysis from drivers, bus companies and other stakeholders to ensure the solution is user-friendly and relevant. Develop a prototype of the AI ​​assistant with speech recognition capabilities, iterative interview model and multilingual support. Test and validate the solution in a real environment to ensure it meets the needs of users and works effectively in practice. Analysis of results, dissemination of insights and preparation for implementation and further work.
