Important results from the project
The project aim was to develop, implement and launch a mobile service to support the target group, people with cognitive disabilities, to travel by public transport as well as develop an innovative business model to make the service viable. The project has fulfilled its objectives. Partly through a mobile app that has been made available to the public, free of charge for both Android based smart phones and iPhone. A business model based on goodwill funding is now financing the service. In addition, a new company, Haja AB has been started to manage the operation and management of the service.
Expected long term effects
Through the service SL has increased the quality and expanded their service offerings. The business model, goodwill funding, along with the new company Haja AB ensures service viability. The service has been spread through ambassadors, seminars, lectures, resledaren.se, face book, twitter, articles and at SLL.se and SL.se. Societal cost savings can only be measured later. The service ResLedaren has demonstrated the ability to build services useful to travellers and based on open data. The interest from various traffic companies was big at the annual conference of Samtrafiken.
Approach and implementation
The project, which used PPS-methodology, consisted of 4 parties who also served as steering group. A subcontractor performed the development of the Service to a fixed price The Implementation consisted of 6 phases that partly has run sequentially and partly in parallel. Requirement gathering has been user based, the development has been conducted according to SCRUM and persons from the target group carried out acceptance test. In parallel, studies have been conducted to study the project´s process and progress from the start of the innovation to the launch of the product on the market.
