Important results from the project
In this year´s Forskar Grand Prix, 23 researchers participated in regional competitions and a digital contest. Five finalists competed on November 26 at the Filadelfia Convention Center in front of 500 people, including 350 high school students. The winner and other finalists received significant media exposure, including on Nyhetsmorgon. The jury consisted of Ahmed Berhan, Amina Manzoor, and Nina Wormbs. The final was also broadcast digitally with around 100 viewer
Expected long term effects
Forskar Grand Prix can have long-term effects by improving researchers´ communication skills and making research more accessible to a broader audience. The competition increases understanding of the role of research in societal challenges and strengthens trust in science. It gives young researchers visibility and inspires the next generation to engage in research. Through increased visibility and new collaborations, the competition fosters a stronger and more innovation-driven research culture.
Approach and implementation
Forskar Grand Prix 2024 was carried out through regional competitions organized by the universities KI, KTH, SU, SLU, UmU, and Lund University, as well as a digital competition that allowed more researchers to participate. The finalists were coached by Vetenskap & Allmänhet through webinars and individual coaching. On November 26, five finalists competed at the Filadelfia Convention Center in front of an audience, and the competition was broadcast digitally as well.
