Purpose and goal
To optimize the quality and efficiency of patient consultations, the care provider must have easy access to an overview of the patient´s medical history. Hence the need for effective systems that can collect, sort and visualize clinical data to be used as decision tools. The rapidly increasing number of long time cancer survivors further emphasizes the need for such systems. A national, single real-time system would provide a unique information source of value for continuous quality assurance of provision of cancer care, as well as for research and development.
Expected results and effects
The result of the preliminary study is a scalable model of clinical real-time data in the cancer area for use at patient meeting, quality monitoring, research and development.
Planned approach and implementation
During the fall of 2018, the project may begin to develop and implement decision tools within the cancer care. This implementation phase is expected to continue until 2021.
