Important results from the project
The project had two main objectives; 1 - meet VR/AR glasses manufacturers to understand the development of the technology 2- find forestry companies on the west coast of the USA that want to test the new technology Both goals were achieved and have led to collaborations that will be deepened in Stage 2 of the project. Another valuable side effect is the network of Svenska XR companies that was built up, which will be a valuable component in the continued work.

New contacts in the US will have valuable effects in several areas such as: - AR manufacturers - American forest industry companies - Vinnova on site in Palo Alto - SACC - Swedish American Chamber of Commerce San Fransisco - Silicon Valley Nordic Beat
Approach and implementation
Before departure, a study was made into potential AR glasses manufacturers and local partners that could be visited. Meetings were booked but it was sometimes difficult to get. On site, more meetings were booked. Many meetings were conducted with other participants so a little more coordination before would have been valuable. This also shows the value of being present in the US. After meetings, we have selected an AR manufacturer and a forestry company to proceed with the proposal to step 2.
