Purpose and goal
The project will result in a finalized Horizon Europe proposal with innovation objectives, demonstration setups, and exploitation strategies. Clear roles for the consortium partners and defined pilot cases will be established. The research area focuses on demonstrating an innovative thermal energy storage (TES) system for industrial applications, based on phase change materials (PCM), modular design, and AI-optimized control systems.
Expected effects and result
Ultimately, our goal is to have our proposal approved so that, through the funded project, we can contribute to cost-effective industrial heat storage, reduced emissions, increased use of solar thermal energy, and strengthened competitiveness of Swedish and European energy technology stakeholders.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be implemented through consortium building, technical concept development, and specification of demonstration cases in collaboration among partners. The work includes techno-economic analyses, as well as coordination and quality assurance of the entire application process, including budgeting and administrative documentation for Horizon Europe.
