Important results from the project

The project achieved its main goal: to lay the foundation for a future excellence cluster in radar technology. During the short project period, actors from academia, institutes, industry and international collaborations were brought together around a shared vision, strategic direction and identified competence needs. The project also contributed to new and deepened collaborations and provided a clearer basis for continued joint work.

Expected long term effects

In the longer term, the project is expected to strengthen Sweden’s ability to coordinate and advance research and innovation in advanced radar systems. The results create better conditions for future joint initiatives, international collaboration, competence development, and test and demonstration environments. In this way, the project can contribute to both industrial competitiveness and long-term technological autonomy in a strategically important area.

Approach and implementation

The project was carried out as a short planning effort based on workshops, joint analysis and dialogue between actors from academia, institutes, industry and international collaborations. The aim was to build the foundation for a future excellence cluster in radar. Implementation largely followed the plan and resulted in a shared vision, clearer priorities and a basis for continued collaboration.
