Innovative collaborations with Singapore in quantum and synthetic biology - stage 2 |
Purpose and goal
The project´s objective is to create a scalable innovation platform & methodology that enables researchers from the Swedish and Singaporean quantum ecosystems to collaborate on common challenges and project for mutual benefit. Three separate project & collaborative consortia have been defined in the areas of quantum sensors and communications: 1) Fiber-based quantum dot sensor, 2) InGaN quantum dot nanowire single-photon emitter and 3) GaN microring resonator-based photonic integrated platform.
Expected effects and result
The proposed project creates collaborative consortia in the fields of quantum sensors and communications, which will create value and benefits for both countries through new industrial growth, start-ups and human capital development. The specific projects aim to strengthen photonic materials science, sensor technology and nanotechnology in Sweden and the growing quantum ecosystem and capacity in high-tech manufacturing and quantum communication infrastructure in Singapore.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is organized in work packages where each WP is a separate sub-project. Each WP has a separate WP manager and there is an overall project coordinator. The cooperation between the project partners takes place through regular WP meetings once a month and a main project meeting once a quarter. Two workshops will be planned, one in Singapore and one in Stockholm, at the mid-term and final phases of the project.
