Venture Cluster of Excellence for Cutting-Edge Technologies - calls for proposals
Call Visions for world-leading research and innovation in strategic technology areas

Important results from the project

The main goal of the project was to develop the vision of how we create a competitive Sweden by having industry early adopt and utilize the opportunities created by quantum technology. We have achieved this during the course of the project and have worked together to develop innovation processes to evaluate new solutions that can benefit industry. We intend to continue with our innovation plan within the framework of the next proposal, together with the other clusters of excellence in quantum.

Expected long term effects

Our hope is that the innovation plan we have created, something that we currently believe has been missing in the Swedish ecosystem, can be implemented in the next phase and lead to competitiveness for Sweden and Swedish industry. Especially in quantum technology, although the idea behind it can be implemented in other areas. With strong industry engagement, we can succeed in creating the “technology pull” that we have seen that we lack and thereby create a world-leading pace of innovation.

Approach and implementation

The project has been driven forward through two tracks, one focused on developing the innovation plan and the areas that the industry wants to drive forward. The other track has been to orient the project with other clusters of excellence in quantum technology, as the project was always intended to connect with the rest of the ecosystem, from universities to innovation offices, start-ups and venture capital.
