Important results from the project
The PVTech project set out with a clear objective: to develop and submit a strong proposal under Swedish leadership for the Eureka Eurostars 2024 call. This primary goal has been successfully achieved, reflecting the project´s effective strategic planning and execution. Another key objective was to establish meaningful partnerships with diverse entities across the energy sector. Through strategic outreach and collaboration, the project has successfully forged valuable connections with organizations spanning various regions and sectors within Europe´s energy landscape.
Expected long term effects
The PVTech project aimed to write a competitive proposal for the program Eureka Eurostars, an objective that was achieved thanks to the integration of innovative PVT and heat pump technologies, together with a Heat as a Service business model (HaaS). RISE and MGS led all the writing process to guarantee that all the partners were providing the relevant inputs to properly answer the questions of the Eureka Eurostars program. The proposal was submitted and the evaluation results are expected to be disclosed in December.
Approach and implementation
The planning project was structured into an intensive five-month process with resource allocations from MGS and RISE. The planning project was split into 4 work packages (WPs): WP 1: Partnership with innovative heat pump manufacturer. WP 2: Pilot site definition The pilot site chosen was Rhodes Food Group in South Africa, MGS and RISE supported Green Line Africa in the negotiations WP 3: Writing proposal - filling the system MGS and RISE led this task, asking specific information to the other partners to fill when was required WP 4: Proposal writing coordination.
