Important results from the project

The project has not succeeded in meeting its goals. As a result of internal misunderstandings, a design challenge has arisen that cannot be solved within the project´s budget. A crucial supplier has also changed its business model, which changes the demand for the project´s results sharply negatively, which does not justify completing the project financially.

Expected long term effects

The project has succeeded with a simplified design that is better suited for production, with the reservation of not producing an economic substructure. Tools for the weather protection´s composite and plastic details have been developed as well as details for two weather protection. Otherwise, the project has not succeeded in achieving its planned results or expected effects.

Approach and implementation

Our events have been identified that are considered to have caused the project to not succeed according to plan. First, we were too ambitious to meet as many of our customers´ wishes as possible, which resulted in a more complicated solution that added risks to the project. Our second mistake was to underestimate the importance of communication between project members. The project manager did not ensure this fact, and the project members immediately failed. The misunderstanding was devastating to the project´s finances. Changed market conditions also arose.
