Purpose and goal

BioLyftet is intended to target SMF, which today uses unsustainable materials in its plastic and textile products, to commence the transition to using alternative sustainable materials. Sustainable materials are herein referred to as bio-based and / or recycled materials. In the preliminary study, 10 SMEs, 3 existing similar projects, 3 regions and 5 regional actors (IUC, Science Parks) have been interviewed orally and the answers to the questions have been compiled and evaluated. These interviews form the basis for the developed BioLyftet model.

Expected results and effects

A model has been developed for BioLyftet, in order to achieve the long-term goal of increasing the use of biobased and / or recycled materials by SMEs. The model has gained inspiration from the ProduktionsLyftet. BioLyftet is divided into three stages; 1) Breakfast meetings / Inspiration, 2) Education / Inspiration as well as 3) Workshop. During the fall of 2017, the start-up of BioLyftet will take place when educational and workshop material is produced. Furthermore, marketing is initiated through breakfast meetings. The implementation of BioLyftet will take place in 2019.

Planned approach and implementation

The preliminary study included the following steps: - Dialogue Information Collection SMEs - Dialogue Information Collection Regions / Other Initiatives - Check-point & Workshop - Preparation of model proposal - Presentation for the BioInnovation Board - Completion and reporting Interviews with SMEs and regions gave valuable information on the knowledge needs of biobased and recycled materials, and also how the model should be designed to attract SMEs. Furthermore, Production Lyft has a well-functioning model that could be used as a basis for BioLyftet.
