Important results from the project
The planning project aimed to strengthen the PackPath proposal for the first call within the European partnership FutureFoodS. The project resulted in a strengthened international consortium, refined work plans, and sharpened methodologies in preparation for a follow-up initiative on circular food packaging. Through co-creation and knowledge exchange, it identified key differences in recycling systems, SME needs, and challenges tied to new EU requirements such as the PPWR.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to lead to international collaboration that supports SMEs in transitioning to circular packaging solutions aligned with future regulations like PPWR. This contributes to environmental gains and increased competitiveness.
Approach and implementation
The project focused on emphasizing in-depth partner dialogue, co-creation with end users, and preparation of a joint international application. Activities followed the plan, and the consortium was expanded with new actors.
