Call Preparation project for international proposal in health and food 2023

Important results from the project

To improve the international proposal and strengthen Swedish participation in the application of synthetic data in healthcare applications. The focus was on an entire patient journey where the patient is at the center and health care data is collected from multiple sources from the municipality to primary care and hospitals. objective of the project was to manage the preparations for the proposals, including conceptualizing the idea together with partners, coordinating the efforts during the preparation phase, plan and follow up the main project and develop the proposal.

Expected long term effects

After pitch sessions with partners, an international consortium was formed: HH, Region Halland, CitizensAffairs, Ensolution, Hallandia, KI, NSE, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Mölnlycke. We first aimed at IHI- the call for proposals but could not apply as HH was not ready to coordinate. Later, "DIGITAL-2024-CLOUD-DATA-06-HEALTHCARE-AI" HDAB required from three EU countries, which was missing in Sweden. Despite that, we formed a strong consortium: HH, Region Halland, Donau-Universität Krems, Landesklinikum Wiener Neustadt, Hallandia, NSE, KTH, Corvers, the health authority.

Approach and implementation

Proposal for EU calls for proposals requires several efforts: Building consortia Developing scientific cores Writing proposals Documentation and collection Coordinating the project application We have learned and networked with industries, universities, research institutes, healthcare systems and other EU organisations. We are now actively looking for other EU calls for proposals in good time. One lesson was the national support from some partner countries. Vinnova offers valuable sessions, and some countries also provide feedback on proposals.
