Important results from the project

The main goal of the project, generating and sharing knowledge gained during our journey, resulted in a report that will be distributed within various channels as open data. We were able to present the value av AI solutions for decision makers and we gained knowledge inside the organisation on realising AI projects.

Expected long term effects

The City of Lund has learned to carry out an AI project from beginning to end together with external experts - knowledge that is now used in planning of AI projects. This journey has given us valuable insights resulting in enhanced knowledge inside our organisation to tend, develop and implement AI solutions within our core business. Furthermore we gained knowledge on demand on data structure and data sources for utilisation in future AI solutions. This resulted in changed routines and processes for data collection in some systems aiming on implementing AI-solutions in the future.

Approach and implementation

The model and results have been developed by the municipality of Lund, together with 2021.ai. The work has required more internal work than we first expected, mostly in extracting and processing of the raw data. The data has then been analysed by data scientists at 2021.ai, who built various models based on it. We have then analysed and improved the results of that work together with the experts from the operational department. The model and the AI methods used have then been presented by 2021.ai for data specialists in Lund municipality to ensure knowledge transfer.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
