Important results from the project

The purpose of the planning grant project was to create a winning proposal for the EIC Accelerator to revolutionize how children with cancer take their medications thereby saving many children´s lives. The collection of relevant information for compilation in the proposal was well accomplished. The submission of a full proposal at the cut-off in October was not met within the project´s time frame. Instead, we aim to use the results generated by this project for the next cut-off in March 2025.

Expected long term effects

The long-term expected effects consist of revolutionizing the way children with cancer take their medicines and thereby being able to save many children´s lives.

Approach and implementation

The project consisted of gathering information about market conditions, patient needs, and healthcare providers´ needs as well as clarifying the regulatory conditions, and submitting short and long proposals. This was carried out in 4 work packages that ran in parallel. Overall, the planning and implementation have worked very well, even if the main goal of submitting a full proposal was not reached within the project time.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
