Important results from the project

The project has largely achieved its objectives as a planning project. The vision was refined through a national workshop and dialogues with new stakeholders, particularly within AI and biotechnology. New collaborations were established nationally and internationally, and awareness was raised through meetings and films. The project also deepened understanding of implementation.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to contribute to the development of a national structure for coordinated use of cardiovascular health data. Building on SCAPIS and other registries, a more integrated research infrastructure can be established, supporting researchers in accessing and combining data from multiple sources. This enables more efficient research and strengthens Sweden’s capacity for data-driven research and international collaboration.

Approach and implementation

The project was carriedout through workshops, project meetings and dialogues with researchers, industry and other initiatives. A central workshop in Gothenburg refined the vision together with new actors. Contacts were also made with international experts and clusters. An implementation group in Region Östergötland worked on issues surrounding implementation in healthcare. Films were produced to disseminate the vision. The collaboration provided valuable insights.
