Purpose and goal

The aim is to explore how Science Park Jönköping can build a long-term sustainable alumni business that connects alumni, digital working methods and a physical innovation hub. The project will develop a model that increases access to expertise, capital and networks through alumni in all phases of company development, strengthens the collaboration with The university college in Jönköping and contributes to sustainable regional transformation.

Expected effects and result

The feasibility study will develop hypotheses for an expanded alumni activity linked to a physical innovation hub and a digital approach. It includes a model for an alumni program with defined roles (mentors, experts, investors), a proposal for a digital approach for matchmaking and knowledge sharing, and a model for a physical hub that strengthens meetings, collaboration and learning. Finally, an action plan will be developed as a basis for decisions on continued implementation.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is implemented in three work packages. First, data is collected via workshops, interviews, surveys and analysis with alumni, incubator companies, Jönköping University, investors and other actors. Then the current situation, needs and opportunities linked to alumni activities, digital methods and a physical innovation hub are analyzed and validated. Finally, hypotheses, concept models and an action plan are formulated as decision support for a possible implementation project.
