Purpose and goal
When densifying cells in radio networks, inter-cell interference becomes a problem. The thesis aims to investigate which power control strategy of special pilot signals, which are used to suppress inter-cell interference, is best suited for the purpose.
Expected effects and result
The results of the thesis will contribute to an increased understanding of inter-cell interference suppression. Lower inter-cell interference contributes to more reliable mobile communication networks and a better user experience.
Planned approach and implementation
The thesis develops different power control strategies based on different objective functions and constraints. These are then evaluated in a network simulator. The results are presented in a report.
