Important results from the project
This study aimed to gain novel insights into the relationship between Covid-related changes in the international and national business environment and planned future investments decisions in Swedish companies, i.e. changes as a result of the pandemic.
Expected long term effects
The project has provided insights about “why” and “how” questions that are associated with the effect of Covid-19 on Swedish firms’ future competitiveness. Specifically, new knowledge regarding understanding about a) perceived changes and trigger events in the national and international business environment b) overall resource allocation strategies; c) business model innovation, and d) innovative product and service development was presented.
Approach and implementation
To realize the purpose of this project, the project undertook three tasks: Task I- benchmark, research and analysis of prior studies on investment decisions, Task II- designing the study and interview protocol, Task III- interview study of leading Swedish companies.
