Planogram AI - Leveraging machine learning to streamline operations in large consumer retail chains

Purpose and goal

The goal of the project was to expand GetCompliant´s offering with a module that, with the help of machine learning and image recognition, enables chains to control and follow up the visual impression in the store around planograms, products, campaigns, etc. The module has been developed and a pilot has been carried out in a leading chain in the grocery trade. The results are very good and the module is now part of GetCompliant´s product strategy and offering.

Expected results and effects

As a result of the project, GetCompliant now has an AI offering that strengthens the company´s position in the market and is expected to lead to more business and increased growth both within and outside Sweden.

Planned approach and implementation

Despite Covid-19, the implementation of the project has largely gone according to plan. It has been challenging but instructive to, mainly digitally, communicate with and coordinate expertise in machine learning, system development, and operations.
