Important results from the project

The goals of the planning project have been achieved. Thanks to the planning grant, a competitive application was developed. A project consortium has been formed with partners from different EU states, and each partner has been assigned a defined role. Collaboration between the partners has been effective, resulting in a well-functioning structure for the coordination of the main project. Through close dialogue, we have ensured that the main project will be tailored to the local conditions.

Expected long term effects

Provided the main project is approved, it will contribute to the sustainable development of society. The stricter energy requirements for buildings in the updated directive are positive for Sweden´s sustainable development. Sweden´s property owners, municipalities and regions have a massive task ahead of them, but the stricter energy requirements will lead to a reduced risk of energy poverty, lower energy costs, increased value of properties and improved indoor environments.

Approach and implementation

The Irish partner initiated the project, gathering a consortium. It required extensive content development and engagement with Swedish stakeholders. Conducted in close dialogue, the project development ensured high quality. The main project was structured into thematic work packages, each led by an experienced partner. The consortium held regular meetings and maintained close online communication throughout.
