Important results from the project

Unfortunately, we did not progress to stage 2 for the international proposal we worked on, so we did not meet the project´s objective. However, it provided lessons learned and an expanded European network that we hope to benefit from in the future.

Expected long term effects

The hope remains that we will be able to secure project funding to implement the intended project. If we succeed in this, we hope to be able to develop systems for circular water flows for industry and food production, which can lead to us conserving water and enabling the establishment of water-intensive activities where it is not possible today.

Approach and implementation

When this project was approved, we started the process with step 2-proposal. We did this by identifying which areas of the proposal needed to be developed and analyzing how we could develop the parts where needed. We had contact with all European partners and had a full-day workshop at WA3RM where we were a group working on developing the proposal while discussing challenges and opportunities for each site included in step 1.
