Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is to improve a grant application to EIC Pathfinder Open that was submitted in 2024 but which was rejected with the total score 4.50. The given goal is that the improved application that we will submit latest by May 21 will be granted funding. We involve one consultancy company (Sustainable Innovations Europe, SIE) and we address the criticism given last year by the four expert evaluators.
Expected effects and result
The result of the project will be a more elaborated proposal in which we have addressed the criticism that emerged from last year´s evaluation. The consortium (SiFi4CITIES) that hopefully can be funded will be more balanced in terms of reporting as well as participation of different age categories of researchers. We will also update the proposal with new research results obtained in the past year and with a new project participant from Austria. The effect will be a more impacting proposal.
Planned approach and implementation
Phase 1: The SIE consultants presently review the proposal and budget, and will give us feedback April 15. After that, we will revise the proposal parts A and B, the budget, and include some companies in the Advisory Board. We will send SIE a revised version no later than May 5. Phase 2: SIE reviews the revised proposal and gives us new feedback on May 7th. We will then revise the proposal by May 14. Phase 3: SIE reviews the application materials one last time and gives us feedback on May 19.
