Important results from the project

Yes, the planning project´s objective was achieved by submitting a competitive EIC Accelerator Stage 1 proposal on April 2, 2026 for funding of the main project. The project also resulted in in-depth analysis of innovations, development of an IP strategy, and extensive market and customer validation. An LOI with customer was signed and a complete business and implementation plan was developed, creating a strong foundation for Stage 2 and continued funding.

Expected long term effects

If this planning project results in approved funding of the main project, it is expected to contribute to the commercialization and scale-up of Climeon´s new technology that improves energy efficiency when converting low-temperature waste heat to electricity. This strengthens Climeon´s position in ORC technology in both industry and shipping and creates conditions for increased export and international competitiveness, while contributing to the climate transition and sustainability goals.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented according to a clear and structured plan with relevant work packages within innovation analysis, market validation, business planning and application work. The schedule was kept and the proposal was submitted according to plan. To strengthen the proposal, focus was adjusted towards the central innovation contributing most to improved ORC- energy efficiency. The collaboration worked well both internally and with external experts, without obstacles.
