Important results from the project
The overall goal with this project has been to plan the prize challenge EIC2015. The contest aim to catalyze the development of digital and/or non-digital solutions on prototype level that enables electrified buses to contribute to enhanced attractiveness of public transportation moving people from non-environmental friendly transportation to sustainable transportation.
Expected long term effects
This project provides a systematic plan to organize EIC2015. The plan includes a road map, defined resources and applications for contest funding. A consortium of 18 organizations have been engaged to EIC and Electricity views the contest as a recurrent yearly process within the lifetime of the arena. The consortium will apply for funding for EIC2015 from Vinnova however specific contest infrastructure will be funded elsewhere.
Approach and implementation
This project have been organized in five phases: 1. preliminary design, 2. workshop with consortium ´design´, 3. enhanced design, 4. workshop with consortium ´concept´, 5 finalization. To support these phases methodologies for prize challenge design has been used developed by Viktoria Swedish ICT and Interactive Swedish ICT. In addition experiences and tools has been used that is developed by the UK based organization NESTA.org.
