Purpose and goal
The project´s aim is to create a competitive consortium with the ability to develop an international project application within Horizon Europe. Through joint activities and knowledge exchange, we will develop a well-founded project plan. The aim is to develop methods to prevent, diagnose and manage long-term effects of treated HIV. With innovative biomarkers and integrating clinical and psychosocial care, we hope to contribute to equitable and sustainable patient care.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to deliver validated biomarkers and digital solutions that enable earlier and more accurate diagnosis and follow-up of long-term effects after treated HIV infection. The results will contribute to personalized care, reduced stigma, and increased quality of life and equitable health for individuals living with treated HIV, with transferable knowledge to other post-infectious conditions.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is implemented in close collaboration between Swedish and international partners with workshops, joint working meetings and expert exchanges. The focus is on creating a strong proposal to Horizon Europe through joint project planning, needs assessment, stakeholder dialogues and the development of a common scientific and administrative structure.
