Important results from the project
Planeringsprojekt´s main goal was to prepare and submit a competitive proposal for the European Defence Fund, specifically the call for SMEs, where an SME coordinates the project. EDF-2026-LS-DIS-RA-SMERO-NT non-thematic call was chosen. As a coordinator GRAFREN assembled the consortium of 3 SMEs (GRAFREN (SWE), PROSIX (SPA), and FREE SPACE (ITA)) and 2 research organisations (LIU (SWE) and CNIT (ITA)). With the assistance of Civitta Sweden, proposal DYNEMSIC was prepared and submitted to EDF.
Expected long term effects
Activities in Planeringsprojekt resulted in building a strong consortium with complementary expertises and competitive EDF application. In case of being granted DYNEMSIC consortium will have a 36 month of EDF financed research activity in emerging topic. Beyond the grant activities established collaboration may result in common research activities, product(s) development, or business opportunities.
Approach and implementation
GRAFREN as the coordinator selected the EDF call, informed FMV about the topic, and intention to apply for the EDF funding; searched and invited project partners into consortium, organised kick-off for the consortium and coordinated grant preparation activities. Civitta Sweden was subcontracted (as planned by Planeringsprojekt) to assist grant text writing and grant preparation in general. All consortium milestones were done in time, as well as proposal was submitted before the call deadline.
