Plan EIC Accelerator application for the upscaling of Rivus Batteries´ metal-free battery technology

Important results from the project

The goal of planning and designing a competitive application to EIC Accelerator has been partially met. We worked on the short and long application simultaneously, however, our short application was not approved, which is an eligibility requirement before being allowed to submit a full application. With the jury´s feedback, we have changed the strategy to wait 1 year to largely complete the development work and will then be able to design a much stronger proposal with a technology ready to scale

Expected long term effects

We have learned a lot from the process and especially from the jury´s feedback. In the long term, we will re-apply to this call and we know what we need to improve on our application until then. In the meantime, we will work on other applications that allow more development work to be done.

Approach and implementation

In AP1 we designed the main project; in AP2 quotes from suppliers were collected and a budget for the main project was formulated; in AP3 technology development activities were specified and in AP4 a business plan was designed. We were able to follow the project timeline as planned but unexpectedly we did not proceed with our short application. Based on the jury´s feedback, our technology is very promising but not yet mature enough for EIC Accelerator as we are still focusing on R&D.
