Important results from the project

The project has fulfilled the purpose and goals by having created good relations with the Plug and Play accelerator program and with investors in Silicon Valley, active within electrification. They have verified, validated and recommended startups to Electrification Hub for collaborative projects. The project has also verified the interest and developed a method and processes to collaborate with US innovative organizations and startups with excellence in electrification based on a mutually attractive offer.

Expected long term effects

The project has led to tech scouting, matchmaking and identification of joint projects/areas for continued cooperation. Both around demonstrators/pilot projects, around startup collaborations and acceleration processes. Furthermore, there is a tested working method for building long-term cooperation with identified organizations, with lessons learned and a plan for continued work. Plug and Play has now chosen to establish itself in Sweden and can contribute to Swedish innovation, at the same time the American exchange is critical for us for its innovative capacity.

Approach and implementation

The implementation process consisted of concretizing a number of initiatives implemented by Plug and Play together with Electrification Hub, with aim of identifying, attracting and developing cooperation between innovative US companies and Swedish companies. The project has built relationships with Plug & Play both in the USA and in Sweden, but has also chosen to build relationships with other relevant actors to create the conditions for an increased in-flow of relevant startups. The project extended its end date as identification of relevant areas took longer than expected.
