Purpose and goal

The project builds on knowledge and conclusions from the project "Pilot study on life science incubation", conducted in 2016 to strengthen Swedish life science incubation. The project aims to implement the process-, business, and operational model that was identified in 2016 as a proposal for optimal life science incubation. The aim of the project is also to identify and propose specific KPIs for life science incubation to VINNOVA.

Expected results and effects

Preparation of operational action plans based on the identified success factors has initiated and supported. Iteratively, we have continuously analyzed our respective incubator activities based on the continuous implementation of the business- and operational model proposed and based on the results from previous year´s project "Pilot study on life science incubation" for continued iteration and implementation of the operational model. SmiLe and KI Innovations have also identified and developed a proposal for specific KPIs suitable for life science incubation.

Planned approach and implementation

The project builds on knowledge and conclusions from the project "Pilot study on life science incubation", conducted in 2016 to strengthen Swedish life science incubation. The design and implementation of pilots of the new incubator business- / Operational model is based primarily on the seven key factors identified in the previous project. Identification and proposal of specific KPIs for life science incubation to VINNOVA is also included in the project.
