Important results from the project
The goal of the project was to qualify a new technology for the purification of biopharmaceuticals. We managed to show that our technology can be scaled up, an extremely important parameter for industrial manufacturing. At the same time, we also created important analytical validation on the purity of the product (biopharmaceutical). The results were a clear improvement compared to before and gave us a clear direction for continued improvement.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to increase our ability to convince decision-makers in the pharmaceutical industry to rethink, and consider a new more efficient and environmentally friendly purification process enabled by our product. With data from a representative pilot scale process, we can accelerate the commercialization of our technology and newly developed product.
Approach and implementation
The project activities and objective were ambitious. There is still work to be done to achieve our high-level objective and to create a competitive product on the market. The schedule was reasonable, some external factors meant that we had to postpone a project element but it could be implemented as planned in the end.
