Pilot scale validation of electrochemical chromatography for effective purification of biomedicine

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to carry out a benchmarking study of the Nyctea purification process for the purification of biological drugs with existing chromatography products. The goal is to validate the potential to streamline the production of biological medicines, which results in large financial savings and a reduced climate footprint.

Expected effects and result

Demonstrate improved purification capability of Nyctea´s product in comparison to existing chromatography process for three different types of biologics. Increase yield by creating a gentler purification process. Reduce the use of chemicals and solvents in the process. Reduce the time for cleaning required, creating a more time-efficient process. The results may be published and used to market the product and technology.

Planned approach and implementation

Besöka TESTA Center on two occasions in 2025 and carry out comparative studies. The visits are preceded by off-site preparations. In collaboration with experts at TESTA Center, carry out comparison studies according to industry standards and with sample materials provided by TESTA Center.
