Purpose and goal

The aim of the pilot during 2014 har primarily been to verify the market need and to establish a potential choice of new customer projects in case of a decided pilot phase 2 during 2015. Through the ongoing material logistics project as well as a large number of company contacts and a scanning of similar initiatives in Sweden we can conclude that the need is confirmed but the demand including willingness to pay for the ´ask´ services remains to be further tested in additional sharp customer projects. Results and expected effects

The pilot has verified the void between the need owners at large enterprises and SME companies. ´Ask´ fills this void and creates sustainable business opportunities for SME companies that otherwise would not materialise, alternatively occurring very rarely. From the material logistics project with Sandvik and Ovako a sustainable business opportunity is created för the SME company Invotech Solutions. ´Ask´ has been a decisive factor for the creation of this business, something that can be scaled up for more SME companies and need owners in large enterprises in coming projects.

Approach and implementation

The performed pilot and the starting point for ´ask´ is the need, business value has to be generated for the need owner in the large enterprise in order to generate business value for the SME company. The focus and the methodology of the pilot has consequently been to search for needs and the need owners in the large enterprise as a first step. Our analysis is that both ´ask´ as an entity and the individual customer projects must be built on long term sustainability, presence and utilisation of our innovation system. Potential, willingness to pay and scalability is legitimised by good examples.
