Purpose and goal

The overall aim is to develop a node and development activity with a focus on Asia, with strong Swedish and Asian industry anchoring for cooperation on development and innovation projects and investment attraction that also links this to ongoing activities in the USA. The pilot focuses on Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Singapore and Taiwan.

Expected effects and result

The expected effect is a strengthened Swedish competitiveness and innovative capacity, enabling industry to develop at a faster pace. Expected results of the pilot are: - Conducted scouting of companies and investment collaborations, where contact and dialogue was made with 10 incubators/innovation environments and 8 CVCs/investors that gather innovative companies - Initiated establishment and development dialogues for 2 larger establishments for production, 5 medium-sized companies for collaboration/establishment and 10 less for collaborations.

Planned approach and implementation

The implementation contains three main parts: - Mapping, identification and developing cooperation with innovative organizations and companies, which will take place through initial identification of actors and people who are then followed up by scouting and exploration trips, and finally follow-up and developed dialogue of concrete cases - Develop a work model and structure for the long-term work, which includes an operating/organizational model with budget, actor constellation with connections to existing initiatives and important actors - Dissemination work
