Important results from the project
The overall project´s aim was to identify, analyze and strengthen the innovation capability in the Swedish process industry by measuring, analyzing and disseminating knowledge about data-driven innovation leadership and to develop competence to lead change. This has been achieved by implementing three work packages from which information was collected, analyzed and converted into knowledge that has been disseminated. Develop knowledge, identifying knowledge gaps and frame initiatives to strengthen knowledge in innovation and change management have been central.
Expected long term effects
In general, a deeper understanding of the conditions for innovation in the process industry and its suppliers has been created. Through the company-specific activities, the company´s ability to lead and organize for innovation and change has been strengthened at the strategic management level, where ownership of the overall goals is found. The project has strengthened organizational conditions for innovation and change by stimulating dialogue and relationship building between individuals in the management of the organization and implementation of strategies for innovation.
Approach and implementation
The project has worked as intended, however, some challenges have led to some small changes, such as increased project time due to organizational conditions in two of the project partners. The program implemented corresponds to the expectations that the parties have had and create value for the organization, but it is always a challenge to carry out measurements in larger organizations where coordination in regards to different types of measurements must be done. Workshops and analyzes have worked very well, where dialogue has been facilitated based on actual results.
