Purpose and goal

The objective of the project can be divided in two parts one commercial and one experimental part. The commercial part has shown that this manufacturing method has a great potential and in many ways is favorable to other existing methods. There are several industrial segments were the method has great potential with unique properties. The technical result of the experimental part has in many ways exceded our expectations, but also addressed new challenges for the future.

Expected results and effects

The aim project was successful and the results show that the manufacturing method is possible to commercialize. There are a number of issues arisen, but none that are unmanageable to solve. New cooperation possibilities with larger companies that have shown interest in the method have come up during the project. The method has got much attention both from the industry and the academy. There are many interesting possibilities to focus on for the future, both from a commercial as an academic perspective.

Planned approach and implementation

The project plan was realized but a few incidents during one of the working package slowed up the project. However, all of the planned experiments were implemented and the development work will continue after the project end.The technical operation areahas been showed to be widerthan expected. A combination of the technique examined in this project and today availabletechniqueshascommercially a high potential.
